Not Only Anti-Semite, but Ku Klux Klan Too?
I have written about the idiot anti-Semite Christopher Jon Bjerknes, who threatens to sue me for calling him the former, but apparently Anti-Semitism is not his only hobby.
Where is thy robe, sir jerkness?
One of our readers just sent me a link to the notorious Ku Klux Klan retiree David Duke’s official website where Jon Bjerknes has a post, from August 22, 2007, on his theory that the Armenian Genocide was done by the Jews.
And, of course, this is not the only “contribution” by Bjerknes to the klansite. He has a post on Jewish bankers (who are, of course, at fault for the Armenian Genocide) and several others.

Thanks for this info, it explains a lot. I might even post a link to your post from my blog later.

Wow, what a guy. A Ku Klux Klan symathizer and a conspiracy theorist, just what Armenians need.
I would encourage fellow Armenians to put as much distance as they can between Bjerknes and themselves. This “scholar” can only harm our cause. Even though we may have every right to be angry about the non-recognition of the Armenian Genocide and the efforts by certain nations, lobbyists, etc to deny, we cannot and should not align ourselves with racists just because they supposedly support our cause.
His appearance on the scene is going to harm us and let’s not forget that instead of focusing the blame on the Turks, he advocates through dubiously inaccurate theories that Jews are to blame for everything. Next, he will probably blame Jews for the Holocaust as well. He is trying to use us to further his anti-semitism and I doubt he even cares about Armenians in the very least.
Once again, we are all angry but let’s not involve ourselves with this man.
His bile reminds me so much of Samuel Weems, the crook and charlatan that the Turks tried to use as a propagandist before he thankfully bought the farm. You could probably substitute the word “Armenian” for “Jew” in Weems book and it would match Bjerknes’s text.

Why is Bjerknes a ‘bastard’ and an anti-semite ? Is he not entitled to his views without ad hominem attacks ? Personally I think some parts of Bjerknes’ work may be not particularly compelling in areas, but I think on the whole he’s done some interesting work as well on a number of topics.
But I don’t think the name calling does any favors though.

Smithson, people are entitled to have views about him as much as he has the right to have his own views.

Have any of you read his book? That is all I want to ask you about.

Tell me anonymous armenian, what is his final thesis?
Maybe I should read Mein Kampf, the Protocol of the Elders of Zion, Holdwater or Sam Weems next?

Mein Kampf, is actually an interesting read. Not because of its literary value nearly as much as because of its author’s historic role. I’d read Bjerknes’ book, too, if he was an important historic figure. But, relatively speaking, he’s a nobody.
Nobody as a historic figure. And not very bright or agreeable as an individual.

i forgot to explicitly make my point:
There are two reasons to read someone’s writing: the noteworthy-ness of the author or the objective value of the work relative to its subject.
Bjerknes lacks both.

I found the dude suspicious when he couldn’t pronounce the names of Armenian parties on a television interview. Check out the interviews with Bedros Hadjian, and see for yourselves.
