FBI Whistleblower Movie is online
A documentary about Sibel Edmonds, a Turkish-American born in Iran and a former FBI translator who was fired after accussing FBI for cooperating with America’s enemies, is now available online at http://www.veoh.com/videos/v354689MGcbpamf&source=embedVideo.
This documentary reveals how a foreign spy ring with links to “Al-Qaeda” has been discovered working within the FBI. Sibel Edmonds began work at the FBI translating wire taps in an investigation into a foreign spy ring operating in the US. She became suspicious of her colleagues after discovering some mistranslations and was then invited to join the spy ring which had evidently infiltrated the FBI itself. She went straight to her bosses and rather than being hailed as a hero she was promptly sacked. After going public on 60 Minutes she has been officially gagged.
Edmonds, being a Turkish woman, also reported nationalist Turkish groups had bribed the House Speaker Hastert to kill a bill recognizing the Armenian Genocide, a taboo subject in Turkey.

How is sibel edmonds a Turkish American? She was born in Iran and not in Turkey, since when do Iranians (farsi, Baluchi, Azeri) count as Turks??? Ask any Iranian, whether Azeri’s in Iran are Turks.

Well Orin, if your ancestors were from Turkey, meaning your roots were originally from Turkey, but you were born in Iran it doesn’t mean that you are Iranian. I am Armenian and if my child is born in America, she will now be considered American. OK? get it? get it? Mann, it just makes me mad when people don’t get it……….

Orrin, Sibel Edmonds identifies herself as Turkish-American and that’s how I will refer to her as.

Blogian,
Iranians especially nationalist iranians dont see azeri’s as turks at all. Look at Iranian forums where they reject at every link between turks and azeris. The fact that sibel edmonds was born in iran and has lived in turkey for some time does not make her a turk. Currently there are some 800000 iranian expatriates living in turkey. Since when do they qualify as turks when they move to europe and the usa?
Anahit, my ancestors came from russia (tatar) and the balkans so what does that make me? Sibel edmonds is a fraud get that!

Orrin, ethnic identity is socially constructed. I recognize a person’s right to self-identity, that is why I will keep referring to Sibel Edmonds the way she chooses to be identified. The Azeri vs. Turk identity conflict in Iran is very sensitive and I understand the points made on both sides. Sibel is not the only “Azeri” I know from Iran who identifies herself as a “Turk.” I met a gentelman in Canada in 2005, born and raised in Iran, who also identified himself as a Turk. Again, identity is socially constructed and I urge you to recognize anybody’s right to self-recognition.
