But, speaking of Obama not being qualified to be president (without laughing too hard at Palin, who would have an excellent chance to become president if she were elected VP), McCain, actually is NOT qualified LEGALLY to be president, a fact that the “liberal media” hasn’t even touched. He was NOT a “natural born American citizen”. He was given citizenship years later by an act of congress for those born to Americans oversees.

* The liberal media did more damage to America than Bush/Cheney, because the Liberals did not get their way in 2000 and 2004. Therefore, they swore they would derail the Bush Pesidency in any way they could. So they did.

Once the elections are over, we should all support our presidents no matter who wins. FDR and HST took us to war too, but the whole country got behind their presidents.

* You cannot compare the Genocide of the Armenians versus the Holocaust that the Jews went thru. Jews turned a desert land of Israel into one of the most advanced/richest per capita country in the area. The Armenians of Armenia haven’t been able to do that, which is beside the point.

* Following the Genocide, the Armenians went to Syria, Armenia, mostly to France and the USA. Is it a coincidance that the Armenian-Americans did financially a lot better than the rest of them? But that is not the real issue too.

The Diaspora has been demanding your so called justice as long as I can remember. FDR, JFK, Jimmy Carter and the two terms of WJC presidencies did not get the Genocide recognized too. Soo, what did we do about it?

You know what Raffi, recognition of Genocide still would not bring my uncle back, my aunt became a widow when she was 24, and their two daughters never knew what their highly educated father looked like, who was educated in Europe and learned five more languages, besides Armenian and Turkish.

When I left Turkey in 1950s, there were still close to 400 thousand Armenians there, now only 60 thousand or so are left.
A recognition of Genocide may be the end of them too, which will include my sister’s big family. And that is one of the reason why I want to look forward to the future instead to the past. The Turks want their liberal historians to decide whether the Genocide occured or not instead of reading Ambassador Henry Morgenthau’s archived articles and books.

Now I want to ask you, if we really want the Turk’s acknowledgement of it or not. They will not !..

Regarding the first charge, I ask you who on EARTH has done more damage to the USA than George W. Bush/Dick Cheney, and ask you what exactly Palins flirtation with the Alaska Independence Party means in relation to her great patriotism.

Regarding the second charge, I say, go tell it to the Jews. When they’re done washing your mouth out for telling them to do something so blasphemous (stupid) as to forget their past, you can come back here with a fresh perspective.

Stop being so ashamed, there’s nothing to be ashamed of here. Armenians wouldn’t be here in the US like this if it weren’t for the genocide, so Turkey can thank itself for the great job we do at reminding them that the reason there is a Diaspora demanding justice, is because they created it.

And when ANY American votes for McCain/Palin, they should have their head examined. We need intelligent, healthy, accomplished leaders who are not willing to do anything to get top office, and who have already stood up for Armenian causes again and again, long before ever having Armenian constituents, simply because Armenians are in the right.

This is why the A-A community is always destined to be a loser. When the time was ripe, they should have pushed for the “George Deukmedjian for President” years ago, instead of now getting behind an obscure guy named Obama, who has so much negative baggage behind him.

Twenty years of a close relationship with Rev. Wright who condemned America, close association with Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan and another America hater, named Bill Ayers cannot be an Armenia lover with a declaration that he is going to push for the recognition of Genocide once he becomes President. Nancy Pelosi had promised that too long time ago. What happened to it? Why Armenians are so gullible is beyond me.

It is time Armenians should wean themselves from these empty promises, and start looking forward to the future instead of concentrating on the past. Past is past, let us look to the future.

Knowing that Armenians are talented and hard working people, they sure do not need the empty promises of the Democrats who love the existence of “poor people” so that they can be their champion, promising everything under the sun as if everything can be had freely from the government.

What happened to the freedom loving, proud, hard-working talented Armenian masses that immigrated to the U.S. after the Genocide in Turkey? Where are they? Are the ones who are Obama lovers started feeling to be a second class citizens that they have given up their grand parent’s fight for the right thing to do, or will they reduce themselves to be beggars?
