They had a very nice collection, including a black panther, a lion, 2 hippos, snakes. But the space was cramped. I would love to see the zoo expanded to give the animals more room. But then again a zoo will always be limited in space, specially for elephants. According to the Yerevan maps, the botanical garden is much larger. I'm not surprised Sri Lanka is concerned and rethinking it. The situation of the bears was was troubling too. narbey I was at the Yerevan Zoo in early October.
