		<description>This is terrible news. Unfortunately, I think it will pan out in favor of Turkey yet again. Gunter Lewy, has questioned the veracity of the Armenian Genocide because many of the documents used in the trials following the genocide went &quot;missing&quot; (rather conveniently). Thus, according to his rationale&#039;, they can no longer be considered as valid evidence. So too, I anticipate, will it be claimed that there has been no &quot;verified&quot; evidence of Armenian mass graves in Turkey, thereby bolstering Turkey&#039;s &quot;position.&quot; Of course this is ridiculous,  but so long as the world considers people like Lewy and Halacoglu legitimate scholars on the history of 1915, the elimination of evidence will be equated with it having never existed in the first place.
